A More Inclusive and Equitable Minnesota

For 20 years, the Organizing Apprenticeship Project (OAP) has invested in building a more just Minnesota through training, strategic policy research and multi-racial organizing campaigns.

We continue finding and supporting diverse community and political organizers – whether through a powerful, collaborative campaign to defeat Voter ID in Minnesota’s communities of color (Voices for Voting Rights) or working on the ground with communities, schools and the state to find new ways to make education equity a state priorityOAP’s innovative leadership consistently leads the way towards a more inclusive and equitable Minnesota.  We are building a network of organizations, organizers, and advocates who care about advancing equity throughout Minnesota.  We recognize that issues are interconnected, and work to promote an analysis that examines how community and policy decisions impact racial, cultural, social and economic justice.  Education, economic opportunity, health, safe neighborhoods, affordable housing, public transportation, criminal justice – these are issues that matter to all Minnesotans.  We work with communities to build equity into all of these conversations.
